Numerous individuals would likely go to great lengths to marry former One Direction member Louis Tomlinson, yet they face stiff competition, as one fan appears to have achieved this remarkable feat.
Interestingly, Tomlinson seemed unaware that such an event had transpired. The unusual marriage scenario unfolded during his tour for the ‘Faith In The Future’ album earlier this year, as he performed at various venues and interacted with fans worldwide.
While in Jakarta, the ‘Bigger Than Me’ artist encountered his future wife, who, at that moment, likely appeared to him as just another enthusiastic fan.
Unbeknownst to Tomlinson, this fan was a TikTok user known as ‘@ladycryalot’, and she had come fully prepared for the occasion.
In a TikTok post, she recounted her experience, stating: “I just returned from the ‘Faith in the Future’ concert in Jakarta, and I lost my voice because I was having so much fun.
“I attended as a single woman, without a boyfriend or fiancé, but I came back as a married woman.”
“I am now a married woman. I am lawfully wedded to Louis Tomlinson,” she added.
So, how did she manage to accomplish this?
A fan recently asserted that the document signed by Tomlinson was, in fact, a marriage certificate, which included an image of both herself and the artist.
Tomlinson appeared to recognize that the paper presented for his signature was not merely a standard printout, as he inquired, “What is this, some sort of marriage declaration?”
Although it was not the scenario he had envisioned for his own wedding, Tomlinson consented to sign the document, humorously suggesting that he would need to visit Jakarta more frequently if his ‘wife’ desired it.
The fan elaborated, stating, “I did not attend the meet and greet, but my friend did, and she asked him, ‘Are you going to return to Jakarta?’ He replied, ‘If my wife wants to,’ after signing this.”
“I’m his wife, are you serious?” she added.
While the fan was evidently thrilled to refer to herself as Tomlinson’s new wife, it is important to note that marriages in Indonesia are not officially recognized without a formal ceremony. Therefore, for fans who remain hopeful, there is still a chance.
