Tonight’s victory was a significant milestone for the 62-year-old, as it was her first Golden Globe win.
Demi Moore delivered an emotional speech after snagging her very first Golden Globe.
With over 40 years in the film industry, the actress is widely recognized for her roles in classics like G.I. Jane, Ghost, A Few Good Men, and Indecent Proposal.
This year, Moore received her fourth Golden Globe nomination, having previously been nominated for best actress in Ghost and If These Walls Could Talk, with the latter also being up for best miniseries.

Moore didn’t snag the Golden Globe win she was aiming for with those nominations, and it took her nearly 30 years to get another shot at that coveted award.
But the wait paid off, and on January 5, she took home the best actress award in a comedy or musical for The Substance.
After her well-earned victory, the 62-year-old delivered a heartfelt speech.
“I really wasn’t expecting that,” Moore started off.
“I’m just in shock right now. I’ve been doing this for over 45 years, and this is the first time I’ve ever won anything as an actor. I’m just so humbled and grateful.”
She went on to say, “Thirty years ago, a producer told me I was just a popcorn actress. Back then, I took that to mean I wasn’t allowed to have real success. I could be in hit movies that made tons of money, but I wouldn’t get the recognition I craved, and I totally bought into that idea.
“Over the years, that really ate away at me. A few years back, I even thought maybe I was done, like I had accomplished everything I was meant to.
“Then, when I was feeling pretty low, a wild, bold, and totally unexpected script called The Substance landed in my lap. It felt like the universe was saying, ‘You’re not finished yet.’
After thanking a bunch of people, Moore wrapped up with this thought: “I want to leave you with something this movie teaches. In those times when we feel like we’re not smart enough, pretty enough, thin enough, or successful enough—basically just not enough—a woman once told me, ‘You’ll never be enough, but you can understand your worth if you stop measuring yourself against others.’
“So today, I celebrate this as a sign of my completeness, the love that fuels me, and the joy of doing what I love while being reminded that I truly belong. Thank you all so much.”
