Amber Heard welcomed her first child, Oonagh, in April 2021.
Now, after her public breakup with Johnny Depp in 2016, Amber is expecting her second child.
Following her split from Depp, she shared the joy of becoming a mom for the first time with Oonagh’s arrival in April 2021. She announced the news on Instagram, expressing that she chose to have a baby on her own terms.
In her post, she shared a sweet photo with Oonagh and wrote: “I’m thrilled to share this news! Four years ago, I made the decision to become a mom, and I wanted to do it my way.
“I realize how groundbreaking it is for women to approach such a significant part of our lives like this. I hope we reach a point where it’s normal to have a crib without needing a ring. While I want to keep my private life private, I understand that my career pushes me to take charge of this narrative. My daughter was born on April 8, 2021, and her name is Oonagh Paige Heard. She marks the start of a new chapter in my life.”
At 38, Heard has been sharing glimpses of her life with Oonagh, often referring to herself as both ‘the mom and the dad’ and a ‘multitasking mama.’
Celebrating Oonagh’s first birthday, she posted on Instagram: “My little O is one today! I can’t believe you’re here. It’s been the best year.”
Now that Oonagh is three, Heard is ready to grow her family again.
A rep for the Aquaman star confirmed her second pregnancy to People, stating: “It’s still early in the pregnancy, so we won’t share too much right now. But Amber is overjoyed for herself and Oonagh Paige.”
During her 2022 trial with Depp, Heard told the jurors that she was eager to “move on” after their breakup and wanted to concentrate more on being a parent.
“I have a baby. I need to move forward. I want to move on, and I hope Johnny can do the same,” she expressed.
