Kid Rock mentioned that the celebrity has been trash-talking the president since the beginning.

He’s now on a mission to bring the country together and believes that inviting one of Trump’s biggest critics to dinner with the president could be the solution.

As a well-known supporter of Trump, Kid Rock is looking to create a unique opportunity by bringing together two opposing sides.

During a recent chat on the Glenn Beck Podcast, he expressed that this dinner could actually help bridge the gap between the left and right during these chaotic times.

The musician had comedian and late-night host Bill Maher in mind.

Maher has always been vocal about his views on the president, recently poking fun at Trump during his speech to Congress.

He remarked, “The most revealing part of the speech was when he said, ‘I realized there is absolutely nothing I can say to make them happy, or to make them stand or smile or applaud.’ It’s all about love.”

Maher continued, “He seems like a little kid who didn’t get enough affection, I guess. It feels like a relationship argument. You know, ‘There’s nothing I can say to make you smile.’”

Despite this, Rock remains undeterred and believes that bringing the country together hinges on finding common ground between them. He even mentioned that Maher is “actually more reasonable than many on the right might assume.”

While chatting on the podcast, he mentioned, “I’m actually planning to bring this country together, and it all kicks off at the end of the month. I’m inviting Bill Maher over to the White House for dinner. This is the same guy who’s been throwing shade at the president since the beginning.

“When I was on [Maher’s] podcast, I suggested, if I could set this up … and believe me, there are plenty of others who deserve a spot at that dinner table, so it means a lot to me to bring [Maher] along and to have the president say, ‘sure, let’s make it happen.’

“Let’s start with two well-known figures — a comedian on TV and the leader of the free world — and just share a meal, have some laughs, snap a photo, and show that even if we don’t see eye to eye on everything, we can still get along.”

It’s unclear if Maher is aware he’s about to get this dinner invite, but if it helps ease the tension between these political rivals, let’s hope he’s available that night.
